Short, fast run-Nik

4.7 miles in 31 mins-outside.

This route takes me along the coast to the pier and back again.  Normally 18 mins each way.

Today is my day off, but I felt like crap from the 4 beers I had last night, from eating late at night and suffering hot, sweaty,’ beer sleep’.

Started off slowly and almost turned back, but my stomache felt so stodgy, I thought I would feel like crap all day if I didn’t do some exercise.  Once I got to the bridge over the sea, I was flying and I think i was running faster up the hill at the end of the bridge, than on the flat.  I started to flag in the last half mile, but pulled myself together for the last 200 meters.

15mins out and 16mins back (on a slightly longer route.)

I will try and lengthen that route to 5.5-6miles and make that my fast outdoor training route for my 8k/5m run
