After missing last night’s run due to discovering what I thought was a damaged tendon in my groin, I thought that I would be raring to go run today. It was in fact a struggle to get my fat ass out of the door. It was cold and damp, in a way that makes muscles and joints stiff and slow.
Decided to up my short runs to 6 milers, 4.7 just seems too pitiful for me. Had to wear my tracksuit over my running shorts due to the cold. Hit the mid-point of my short run in 19 minutes, an indication of how much my cold muscles were resisting the run. Back in 18 minutes, because, I guess, my system had warmed up. It took another 12 minutes to run the final 1.3 miles. Slow, but there it is…
